Sanskrit Day is celebrated on Shravan Purnima. This day is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Sanskrit language. Historically, Sanskrit has been the vehicle of Indian knowledge since the Vedic period. 

Literally, timeless works like the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Kalidasa's plays, and the Upanishads are written in this language. Socially and culturally, it is the foundation of Indian unity, philosophy, and traditions.

 In India, it has the status of a classical language and is taught in schools and universities. It is studied in many institutions around the world, including Oxford and Harvard. 

Sanskrit Day gives us the message of connecting with our knowledge tradition and keeping it alive for the future.It was officially celebrated for the first time in India in 1969.

संस्कृत दिवस श्रावण पूर्णिमा को मनाया जाता है। यह दिवस संस्कृत भाषा के संरक्षण और प्रचार के लिए समर्पित है। ऐतिहासिक रूप से संस्कृत वैदिक काल से भारतीय ज्ञान की वाहक रही है।
